Stolen Porsche resurfaces after 27 years
It almost sounds like a fairy tale, but it happened in the USA. In 1991, a Porsche was stolen from a parking lot in Oregon and has never been seen since. Until a few days ago.
Then, according to komonews.com, the car turned up (on its roof) on a steep slope. Presumably the thief had lost control of the car or pushed it over the embankment to dispose of the stolen loot. The second theory is supported by the fact that no human bones were found in or around the car.
However, this story will probably not have a happy ending, as restoring the Porsche 924 from 1979 is unlikely to be worthwhile; the removal alone, including the salvage, will cost significantly more than the car is ever worth. The photos are from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO).
