Who can save a Chrysler Neon?
08/17/2017
Admittedly, the Chrysler Neon is not the hottest and most elegant car of the nineties. But the Beetle didn't win any beauty awards in the sixties either, and neither did the Ente (2 CV). Nevertheless, these former bread-and-butter cars of yesteryear have become favorites of the classic car scene. Perhaps the Chrysler Neon with its unusual "cab forward" design is similar?
The Chrysler Neon was built from 1994 to 2005, after a concept car tested the interest of buyers in 1991.
Most Neons were probably not called Chrysler, but rather Dodge or Plymouth, because they were sold under these brands in the United States and Canada, while in Europe they were called Chrysler Neon.
Well over two million front-wheel drive Neons were produced in 13 years over two model generations, which is not a bad figure.
In the meantime, they have almost disappeared from our roads, there were few of them in this country anyway and the quality did not always meet local requirements.
Soon, Chrysler Neons will be among the rarely seen exotic cars on our roads and by then, at the latest, the first collectors and museums will be thinking of adding a Chrysler Neon to their collection. However, this will only be possible if there are still a few examples left by then. So, who will save a Chrysler Neon and keep it in driving condition for posterity?
