Pre-war Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 - kit with gaps
Are you talented and looking for a challenge? Then the lot offered by Bonhams at the Goodwood Festival of Speed auction on June 30, 2017in Chichester with an "Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 1939 Project" might be just the thing for you?
Admittedly, this Alfa Romeo is not a so-called simple restoration case.
In the end, it could look like the Touring Coupé pictured here from the same year, taken in Pebble Beach. For further inspiration, we offer a picture magic series "Alfa Romeo 6C 2500" .
But until then, not only the entire chassis but also the bodywork and interior and much more had to be completely redesigned. After all, you have two (!) chassis numbers to start researching, namely 915029 and 915422. And apparently two gearboxes and an engine are also included.
The kit was estimated at £ 20'000 to 30'000. For CHF 35'000 or EUR 32'000 you could of course also buy a functional Morgan Super Sports from 1933 at auction in Chichester, but that would not be a precision engineering challenge ....
