There is no wrong weather, only the wrong clothes
Almost everyone has probably read the (convertible driver) saying "there's no such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothes" and it was probably invented by an Englishman. Although the weather on the other side of the English Channel is criticized for being wetter than average, it never really gets that cold, at least in the south of England.
Well, last week we had the opportunity to take a Lotus Super Seven S3 out for a spin and of course we couldn't say no. Despite the sub-zero temperatures, fog and snow, we were happy to do without the makeshift roof. As we all know, the Super Seven is not one of those modern convertibles that would provide comfort with heated seats, a preheated steering wheel or the like. On the contrary. The lack of doors meant draughts everywhere and cold fingers and ears were guaranteed anyway. Nonetheless, the trip was a great pleasure, except that next time we would perhaps make sure we had more and better suited clothing.
