The steep face is being renovated

Good news from Italy! Just 10 years ago, the two banked curves of the oval built in 1955, which are up to 80 degrees higher than the ground, were to be razed to the ground. That would have been tantamount to a brutal intervention in Italian culture. In my opinion, this oval should even be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This oval was only built in 1955 and the Italian Grand Prix was only held on the double circuit in 1955, 56, 60 and 61.
The first race in 1955 was won by Juan Manuel Fangio with an average speed of 206.792 km/h. It was the first F1 GP (with the exception of the 11 Indy races from 1950-1960, which counted as F1) with a race average of over 200 km/h.
After a conversion into a museum failed due to financial constraints, renovation work is now beginning. The track on the oval had a beautiful patina until the renovation. Unfortunately, this has now been swept away by the cleaning.
Well, you can't have both.
With the current new and smooth road surface, driving on this oval is certainly possible again and I wouldn't be surprised if a historic tender for driving on the Monza oval were to take place soon.
