Good mood despite gloomy weather on the Arosa ClassicCar training day
Arosa ClassicCar is celebrating its 10th anniversary these days. Our report will of course follow shortly and in detail with lots of photos, but here are some very brief impressions of the training day.
It's 7:30 a.m., the morning has long since awoken in Arosa, half an hour to go until the first run... You can hear a stream babbling in the distance and cowbells echoing through the forest from even further away... It's cold, really very fresh and sometimes it drizzles on your face... The view wanders over lush green meadows, over wafts of mist and just above a mountain world in a white sugared dress!
But this doesn't seem to spoil the mood of the participants in the first run. They steer their race cars back to the start with a smile on their faces.
If you've already followed a few of the ten Arosa ClassicCar events, then you're all the more on the lookout for "new" candidates. Aha, a black De Tomaso Pantera immediately catches the eye.
Arosa ClassicCar wouldn't be Arosa ClassicCar if there weren't always famous drivers at the start, be it in demo cars or in racing cabs.
Today, Marc Surercould be heard roaring through the forest from afar in the March.
Of course, certain participants are not to be missed, especially those who have hardly missed an edition of the Arosa ClassicCar, e.g. Marcel Hayoz in his Lotus 23.
While the paddock offered visitors new perspectives thanks to the new location right next to the finish line ...
... Dr. Armin Zumtobel lived up to the expectations of those who kept a close eye on the time sheets during the practice runs. As the fastest of the day, he completed the best run in the Porsche Carrera 6 in 4.46 minutes. Does this herald another victory in the anniversary year? We will soon find out.
Will the weather be better tomorrow? The spectators certainly hope so... But there's nothing to complain about today, it only started to rain during the last run (see Alpine in the picture above) ..,
