The street scene from back then would be worthy of a museum today
We love them, the shots of historical traffic scenes. Unspectacular, simply frozen in time and preserved.
We look back to the fall/winter of 1961/1962 at an intersection in France, probably Paris. Two four-lane lanes of traffic jam up at the traffic lights.
French brands clearly dominate the scene. Countless Renault 4 CVs, a few Citroën 2 CVs and a few Citroën Légère Traction Avants can be seen. But wait, now we notice the majestic open Alfa Romeo (6C 2500 ?) in the right-hand lane, presumably an exceptional phenomenon even for experienced Paris car observers at the time and almost a youngtimer ...
Do you have such photos in your own photo album? We are happy to publish such gems, because what was on the roads back then is now in the museum, but only the old photos clearly show the proportions ...
