60 years Peter Dätwyler

There were celebrations at the Race-Inn in Roggwil on Tuesday evening. Peter Dätwyler, manager of the Race-Inn karting track and organizer of the successful and popular classic car event in Altbüron, turned 60.
What did the invitation say? 1953: Alberto Ascari becomes F1 world champion, Jaguar wins the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Tazio Nuvolari loses his battle against a serious illness, W.P. Daetwyler becomes Swiss racing car champion, Prince Rainer lll of Monaco competes in the Tour de France under the name Louis Carladas, Walter Habegger wins the first race of his successful career, Peter Sauber celebrates his 10th birthday, Ferrari wins the sports car world championship. Peter Sauber celebrates his 10th birthday, Ferrari wins the sports car world championship, Emanuel de Grafenried wins the Schauinsland one-day race and, last but not least, Peter Dätwyler is born on January 29.
Many familiar faces met in Roggwil for a cozy evening on this occasion. First and foremost the Swiss motorcycle legend Luigi Taveri (unfortunately not in the picture as he disappeared early), Marc Surer, Rolf Biland, Engelbert Möll, Mrs. Perrot, Roland Salomon, Fredy Amweg, Heinz Steiner, Marcel Steiner and Max Geiser.
"Zwischengas" congratulates the jubilarian (far left in the picture with the Sauber lollipop) and thanks him on behalf of everyone for his services to historic motorsport.
