In 1960, BMW salespeople ran the following headline in the brochure for the BMW 700 Coupé: "... and that's how rich the color selection is".
In addition to the five basic colors, namely "ceramic blue", "anthracite", "Spanish red", "yellow olive" and "cream", there was also the option of ordering the roof in a different color, namely "white blue", "sea foam white" or "silk green". However, only one combination was available in each case, resulting in a total of nine color combinations, all of which are shown here. I wonder if today's car buyers would find themselves there, especially in view of the lack of silver tones and metallic colors?
