Classic car meeting in red, yellow and blue
07/06/2011
There are many organized classic car outings by make, by model, by country of origin, by group of friends or perhaps even by year.
But who has ever done an outing by car color? Well, a Ferrari meeting is mostly red, Bugattis are usually blue and Silver Arrows are always silver. No, not that simple! We thought of the three basic colors red, yellow and blue, which are the basis for all other colors. We took these three colors on a two-day tour to the Engstlen-Alp (canton of Bern).
The small group of vehicles consisted of two MG TCs (1947 and 48) in red and yellow and a Riley Special (1933) in blue. Many observers immediately noticed the unusual color combination in today's silver-anthracite-black-boring era.
One even asked if we had deliberately painted the cars that way or even bought them. No, it was all pure coincidence! We were just celebrating the new acquisition of the blue Riley and took the red and yellow MG for a drive!
We will soon be presenting the Riley Special in more detail on Zwischengas.
