... GT Inside the car, first impressions of luxury are confirmed sitting in one of the superblyshaped front bucket seats, and appreciating the panoramic view through the deep windows. Sitting in the driving seat (adjustable for fore and aft movement, and backrest angle) the excellent positioning of all controls and instruments is immediately obvious. The leathercovered rim of the steering wheel is comfortable and complements the quality of the other nterior appointments. Set in the antidazzle fascia is a comprehensive display of instrumentation, provided for the benefit of the driver to whom motoring is still an art. Large dials for the 140 m.p.h. speedometer (with a complementary k.p.h. scale) and tachometer are positioned immediately in front of the driver. Smaller, but equally visible, dials provide immediate checks on the fuel level in the 21 - gallon petrol tank, oil pressure, dynamo charging rate, and water temperature. All instruments have white digits on matt black faces, making them easy to read by day and night. Headlamp flasher, horn and indicator switches are mounted on the steering column where they can be used without the driver taking his hands from the steering wheel.
