Fiat Panda - the great box

In 1980, the "household appliance on wheels" designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro appeared in the subcompact class. Visually, it looked more like a shoebox than an automobile, which is how it was also advertised in Germany: "Fiat Panda - the great box".
There was not only a van, an Elettra (electric version) and a 4x4, but also around 24 special models:
From the Primavera, to the Bianca, Trio, Fantasia, Pop, Garda, Adria, Ponte, Dance, Moretti, Italia 90 (1990 Football World Cup), Top Ten, Sergio Tacchini, Eleganza, Pink and Verde, Bluebay, Cosi, College, Hobby through to the Young.
Then there are probably the two French offshoots "Val`d Isère 4x4" and "Café" (with a twisted accent), which was perhaps created on a private mission!
At the Auto e Moto d`Epoca in Bologna in October 2025, you would certainly have found any model you wanted, almost more than Panda bears in China. It is well known that there are only around 2000 of the cute wild panda bears left in the Chinese provinces of Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi. But at least they all have "4x4".
