The trunk in the center

We have never noticed this as clearly as with the Renault 14 . About half of the factory photos at the presentation showed the trunk in some form or other.
And the luggage compartment wasn't even that big. With the seats folded up, 335 liters were available. Without the luggage compartment cover, however, it was already 390 liters.
If you then folded down the rear seats, there were 745 liters. And if you also removed the rear seats, the volume could be increased to 950 liters.
Not necessarily record figures, but Renault didn't seem to mind.
The way in which the car and the elegant luggage were draped in ever new ways at the time certainly looks quite aesthetically pleasing.
But perhaps it was also the models who gave the pictures in the snow and sand the right touch.
