How Volvo is suppressing its history
I recently wondered why we don't really hear anything more about Volvo 's own history. Just a few years ago, the press department almost bombarded us with articles about models from the past. And now? Silence. You have to go back quite a long way before the first press release about an older car appears.
2019 was probably the last time an official Volvo presence could be admired at the Techno Classica. I still remember the P1800 S from "The Saint" that was shown.
The 50th anniversary of Volvo in Germany was also a long time ago.
The only thing that still seems to remind us of the past is the slanted line across the radiator, which electric SUVs have brought into the modern era.
It's a real shame that the Swedish brand values its history so little. I wonder if modern Volvo drivers still know about it?
