Has it really been that long? Even the first examples of the Renault Laguna and Opel Omega B have been able to officially call themselves "classic cars" since 2024. Many other new models from 1994 don't really show their age either. Well, they could be 15 years old, maybe even 20 - but 30?
The upheaval at Audi was particularly great. The Ingolstadt-based company not only launched two new models on the market, but also changed its model designations to the nomenclature still in use today. The Audi 80, 100 and V8 became the Audi A4, A6 and A8 in the summer of 1994 - although, strictly speaking, the mid-range model series only underwent extensive model updating.
