Double exhaust (car connoisseur quiz)
03/17/2024
It's almost exactly ten years since our first and last car connoisseur quiz on the subject of exhaust outlets. We are happy to use this small anniversary for a new edition with ten more (hopefully) unmistakable tailpipes, tailpipe combinations or tailpipe arrangements. After all, the exhaust was not always just a simple piece of round pipe that peeked out somewhere under the aft deck.
It was routed through the rear apron, elaborately decorated, cleverly integrated, doubled, tripled and sometimes even misappropriated. In the Pegaso Z-102 on our cover picture, the exhaust also serves as a side bumper. On the one hand, this saves on material costs, of course, but on the other hand, even the smallest parking bumps result in exhaust back pressure that is beyond good and evil.
An astonishing number of cars can be identified by their exhaust gas outlet. We have put together ten of them for this quiz. Would you like to try?
