There are hardly any classic car drivers who write a text message at 120 km/h or elicit interesting information from the on-board computer. After all, they are usually fully focused on the task at hand, because they drive mainly out of pleasure and passion, not out of pure necessity.

In contrast to their modern successors, old cars usually demand clean gear changes, want to be kept alive with targeted throttle blows and guided on track with skillful steering movements when braking. If there is any time in between, the on-board instruments are monitored to ensure that the mechanics remain in the best of health. There is no time for a cell phone or other distractions. The classic car driver must also keep an eye on other traffic at all times, as their own distance and wise foresight determine whether they reach their destination without any problems. No electronic angels can help in an emergency, which is another reason why full concentration is always required in the cockpit of an old car.
The low claims rates for classic cars with insurers prove that the drivers of old cars are doing a good job. And the fact that they can still have a lot of fun in the process is a bonus, so to speak!
