New cars are also interesting (question of the week)
With the neo-classics and youngtimers, young vehicle categories have gained a lot of momentum in recent years, which is perhaps also due to the fact that we are currently in a phase in which the electrification and automation (e.g. assistance systems) of the automobile is fundamentally changing the vehicle and thus "old" and "new" are taking on a different meaning. At the same time, interest in the very old car seems to be eroding somewhat.
We wanted to find out more for our readership and asked in a" question of the week" up to which era cars are of interest to them. And we find out whether young cars are also of interest.
The result is quite surprising, as almost 43 percent of the 298 readers who responded stated that they were actually interested in all age groups up to and including neoclassic cars. 20.1 percent also find modern cars and new cars interesting, while 22.8 percent read about cars up to and including neoclassics.
For 4.7 percent, the interest ends with the nineties, for 9.7 percent with the eighties.
21.5 percent stated that they could warm to all cars up to the seventies, while 11.7 percent said that they stopped in the sixties.
4.0 percent are only interested in vehicles built up to the 1950s, while 2.7 percent focus on pre-war cars.
In summary, it can be said that the interests of Zwischengas readers are very broadly diversified. For the sake of good order, it should also be said that 2.7 percent did not find themselves in any of the given answers, perhaps because they are only interested in one period, e.g. youngtimers, but not earlier or later cars.
