The Youngtimer is here ...

A Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 from 1991 has been working in our editorial office for around 10 days. With 120 hp and a weight of 880 kg, it is a joy to drive from the very first kilometer. It will be with us every step of the way and we will keep our readers up to date on how it and we are getting on.
The sportily motorized small car delivered its first little test after the first 130 km. When it arrived in Ticino, it simply wouldn't start itself. The battery was naturally the first suspect, but the lights and other power consumers did their job willingly. So the starter motor? It had been replaced a few weeks previously. At least the car could be started, thanks to the Swiss S+R team and their Opel.
In the end, a plug connection that had crumbled turned out to be the troublemaker. The guys from the Peugeot forum (http://www.peugeotforum.de) had made the right assumption. And since the plug has been replaced, the "Pug" can be started again at any time.
Of course, there are still a few small faults to be criticized, but we will now sort them out bit by bit. And report back ...
