VW Golf flying high as a classic car

It has only been a few days since the VDA published the registration figures as of January 1, 2015. While there has been little movement at the top of the list of H-registered vehicles, with the VW Beetle safely leading the way ahead of the Mercedes W 123 and R 107 series, the VW Golf has surprised everyone by entering the "top ten".
Growth within one year amounted to 50.4% and it can be assumed that significantly more is possible with the high-production Golf Mk1 vintages.
However, it will probably be many years before the Beetle, with 30,676 (out of a total of around 310,000) H registrations, can overtake it at the top of the table, if this ever happens at all.
In any case, the Autostadt has perfectly realized the theme at the Techno Classica, because in addition to a VW Beetle, a VW Golf (GTI) is also circling the ceiling at the stand ...
