The most attractive Porsche in Schinznach Bad
06/04/2012
For the second "Porsche Classic Day" since 2010, AMAG Schinznach Bad invited Porsche models built before 1976, but later vehicles were of course also welcome. The weather forecast did not bode well, so some of the registered classic cars were left in the garage. Nevertheless, around 120 Porsche classic cars of the 356, 911, 914, 924 and 928 types arrived, ...
... and the parking lot was already bursting with all the beautiful colors in which Porsche models were once delivered - yellow, red, blue, Bordeaux, green, hardly a shade was missing ...
... and was reminiscent of the colorful sixties and the colorful seventies.
A small Concours d'Elegance was held to find the car that you would most like to drive home in the evening. The jury, presided over by Porsche expert Marco Marinello, selected ten vehicles, all of which received an award. However, the main prize, a participation in the Corso of the Arosa ClassicCar event in August, could only be won by one car, and that was the 1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS of Theo Imhof.
But the other nine vehicles also showed many facets of Porsche's rich history: 356 B Cabrio, 356 Pre A, 911 Jubilé, 911 T, 914/6 GT, 356 A Carrera 1600, 911 S, 356 1600 Super, 911 Carrera and 356 B Roadster.
Given the damp weather, it is hardly surprising that some of the visitors made their way home a little earlier.
Those responsible at AMAG Schinznach Bad, led by Hans-Ueli Bächli, were delighted with the large turnout from the Porsche Classic community despite the bad weather. There is no reason why the event should not be repeated in the future.
