ADAC Eifel race attracts with many rarities next weekend
06/05/2012
This year's "ADAC Eifelrennen um den Jan-Wellem Pokal 2012" will take place next weekend (June 8 to 10, 2012). The Eifel race can look back on a long tradition. This year's program, which includes both car and motorcycle races, just like in the old days, is impressive. And the expected line-up of vehicles will make gourmets' mouths water, with around 30 Veritas vehicles expected to make their way to the Eifel.
The program includes many delicacies, for example:
- "Eifelrennen" ADAC 300 km race - sports cars and GT cars of various vintages race on the Nordschleife including the Grand Prix circuit
- The Canadian-American Challenge Cup features the most brutal, colorful racing cars of all time from the CanAm and Interseries from 1966 to 1974
- In the "Battle of the Dwarves", touring cars up to 1300 cc (vehicles from the Abarth Coppa Mille, the British Car Trophy and NSU-TT-Trophy) compete in evenly matched racing
Pre-war vehicles of all kinds meet in the historic paddock. At the Berenberg Bank Elephant Race (Revival) on the Grand Prix circuit, almost hundred-year-old Mercedes SSK racers compete. There will be brand club meetings all around and in the late evening the "Night of Legends" by Porsche Kremer (see picture above).
Nobody should be bored.
