Well, the Renault R4 was indeed a long runner. It was built for 31 years and a good eight million units were sold. This year, the Renault R4 celebrated its 50th birthday, and until a few years ago it was still a common sight on the roads.
However, the example shown here, taken in 1981, is probably unique and probably not extremely practical. However, it illustrates very nicely that the Renault R4 was a "long-runner" in the truest sense of the word ....
