I wonder where it is today? Lotus Elan Speciale
05/11/2011
We leaf through an automobile review from 1964 and come across an advertisement for a car for sale.
A Lotus Elan Speciale is on offer, obviously an example that has been optimized for racing. This is indicated by the widened fenders and accessories such as seat belts, racing rims, bucket seats and racing steering wheel. But also the painted or glued-on surfaces for the start numbers.
The color - blue according to the advertisement - must have been a rather light blue (baby blue?). But like many other Elans, this one probably changed color several times during its lifetime ...
I wonder where it is today? Has it survived the last 47 years? And if so, what might he look like today?
Perhaps someone remembers the small, fast Elan of a Mr. Ch. Bonvin from Sierre (Valais, Switzerland)?
