Volkswagen advertising - and runs and runs and runs ....

With the VW Beetle, Volkswagen launched a car that was not only produced for longer than most others, but also became one of the most successful car models in history with over 20 million units built.
Early on, however, the Beetle was overtaken by competitors left and right in terms of design and conceptual characteristics, so that advertising had to focus on the things that made the Beetle stand out, such as its almost proverbial reliability. This gave rise to the extremely minimalist and now legendary advertising message "... and runs and runs and runs", which is conveyed with simple images in the attached video. Enjoy!
