But much more important is that it is well constructed and lasts a long time. Is easy to repair and service. And has a high resale value even after many years. And has a good service organisation behind it. Volkswagens are famous for their long life. The VW 1300 only needs lubricating every 6,000 miles. But if a VW has to be serviced or needs repair the work is carried out quickly and cheaply. Because there is a close network of VW service work shops - over 7,700 in 136 countries all over the world - with experienced personnel, special modern tools and genuine VW spare parts.
