Like the Aurelia, the Beta Spider also carries P in infarina's hall mark. His signature represents the three fundam entals of its design. First to conform to in ternational safety standards, second to reflect Lancia ’s trad itional finesse in its styling, third to match its effortless perform ance to exceptional refinement. So this is the result, a Italian... Exotic... Exhilarating... genuine 2 + 2 car w ithin extremely com pact dimensions (overall length is approxim ately 4 m = 13ft) w ithout sacrific ing any luggage space which fa r exceeds tha t of other contem porary sports cars. And in meeting safety standards fo r an open car, the roll bar has been blended into the styling to enhance the spider's elegant lines. The roof panel is detachable and stores in the boot, when out of use, while the rear w indow panel folds down to lay the in terior open to sun and sky. Not surprisingly, the Spider's performance, refinem ent and range of equipment match the already high m etier that Lancia has already set for the Beta range.
