But Jorge C. Altamirano of Mexico City wasn't one of the pessimists. He could en vision the day when Mr. Tucker's dream of a better automobile would materialize to revolutionize the industry. In fact, his en thusiasm for the Tucker enterprise was so great that early in 1946 he paid $40,000 for the right to distribute the car in Mexico. That was the first Tucker franchise ever sold by the Tucker Export Corporation, an organization that since has made long strides toward completion of a worldwide Tucker distributing network. The export corporation, a subsidiary of the parent organization, has offices at 39 Pearl St., New York City. The president is Maxi milian Garavito, a veteran in the export field with worldwide contacts.
