Since the details of his bid to bring out a revolu tionary new car were revealed back in December, 1945, the Tucker story has led through nightclub deals, congressional investigations, law courts and stormy sessions with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Yet Tucker, still bubbling with enthusiasm, winds up in the biggest manufacturing plant in the world, the public loves him and has invested some $15,000,- 000 in his enterprise, while the dealer network is almost complete with 1,637 dealers and distributors putting up more than $4,000,000 at the rate of $20 for each car they expect to handle in the first two years of production. "This article appeared originally in the March 1 issue of Automotive News, one of the most widely read trade pub* lications in the nation. We found it an interesting account of progress at the Tucker plant. We regret we were unable to print the story in its entirety because of Insufficient space. Then, too, Tucker has at tracted many veteran auto men to his organization.
