V 16 means the magnificent engine, with 16 cylinders having displacement 5994.6 cc - in aluminium alloy throughout - with V90° architecture. 4 CYLINDER HEADS FOR 64 VALVES ELECTRONIC INJECTION AND CATALYZER Each of the four cylinder heads contains two overhead camshafts which govern the timing of the four valves per cylinder. A total of 8 camshafts and 64 valves. Injection and ignition are electronic, integrated by a strategy specially developed for the Cizeta engine. The engine, completed by the exhaust system with threeway catalyzer with Lambda probe, develops 352 kW (520 HP) at 7000 rpm and maximum torque 539 Nm (397.7 lbsft) at 4500 rpm. T-MOUNTED GEARBOX The T in the Cizeta's name refers to the position of the gearbox in relation to the engine. The engine is transversally mounted in front of the rear wheels, with 10° forward tilt. The gearbox is mounted central to the engine, and together the two form a T. The gearbox is derived from racing models but is fully synchronized with five speeds plus reverse. CHASSIS AND LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURE ALUMINIUM BODY The bodywork consist of a tubular chassis whose loadbearing structure is in variouselliptical section chrome molybdenum steel.
