Our 193rd Quiz – Gasoline Questions
Is gasoline the stuff that dreams are made of? Actually, it’s quite volatile. If you leave it sitting out in the open, it just evaporates. And once it’s done its job in the tank, it’s gone, too. Just like a dream: In the morning, you still know you dreamed something, but you can’t remember exactly what.
Enough of these deep thoughts—let’s turn to the hard facts. Who really gives gasoline much thought? People rarely worry about the brand. They’re more likely to worry about the octane rating, especially with older engines without a knock sensor. And then there’s the ethanol content: Does it damage the seals, or even promote rust in the tank?
Nothing works without gas—especially not in a classic car, with very few exceptions. Still, we hardly give it a second thought unless the price goes up again. Yet there’s a whole lot worth knowing about gasoline, just as there is about that ritual we might lose in the foreseeable future: refueling!
That’s why our latest quiz focuses on the “essence” of driving. The questions are rock-solid, high-octane, and pack a punch like a tiger in the tank. Have fun!
