Why not (buy) a limousine?
Despite the approaching publication date of the 2027 annual magazine , there was still some time left to visit the auto show in Bologna. Auto e Moto d'Epoca, which runs through Sunday (October 25, 2026), once again offers a huge selection of cars (and motorcycles) to look at—and in many cases, to buy.
And since one of the focal points of this year's annual magazine is “Why Not a Sedan?”, we were naturally on the lookout for exactly this type of vehicle.
And you don't have to look very hard in Bologna, because the selection of sedans is quite extensive.
Of course, the selection of Italian “berlina” models is particularly extensive in Italy, but for us this is especially exciting, since these cars have almost completely disappeared from the roads here.
A 1968 Fiat 124 for 7,000 euros—which also has a new engine and has been extensively overhauled—doesn't sound too bad, does it?
A 1985 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1600 for EUR 9,500 is also quite impressive.
A bit more expensive is the 1968 Alfa Romeo Berlina 1750, which is asking for EUR 18,500.
The 1933 Fiat Balilla Viotti, priced at EUR 17,900, seems almost like a bargain.
And you can take home a 1963 Fiat 1100D for EUR 11,500.
For an even more affordable and modern sedan, check out the 1997 Alfa Romeo 146 for EUR 7,900.
Those who'd rather own a German car might want to take a closer look at the 1984 BMW 318i for EUR 11,000.
And then there was that white “bathtub”—a 1964 Ford Taunus 17M.
There was also a 1955 Renault 4CV on display for EUR 14,500.
Also on display—but not for sale—are a Lancia Prisma and a Lancia Gamma Berlina. And, of course, much more. If you can, you should definitely go check it out for yourself.
And as mentioned, our 2027 annual magazine will be published in December, which will focus more heavily on the topic of sedans…
