New series, old car

Netflix recently launched the series "Dept. Q", a new British crime drama worth watching. It centers on the talented but less than philanthropic detective Carl Morck, who returns to work after a shooting and is given the task of solving old cases. He even gets his own department and a car.
Because the money is apparently better spent on other departments, he is given a 1985 Ford Sierra 1.6 L. This was almost, but not quite, the entry-level version; after all, there was also a 1.3-liter version. But the 75 hp would certainly not have been enough for hot pursuits. And that didn't happen in series production. As a "commuter", the Ford was perfectly adequate, especially as it got through the series without any breakdowns.
Detective Morck, however, had little use for the manual classic, despite its very good condition.
But we were happy about that! However, this will hardly lead the Sierra to cult status ...
