Even as a lover of historical and, above all, analog technology, you can't completely deny yourself modernity. And since artificial intelligence is currently the latest craze in the world of digital imaging, we approached the matter with a childlike, naive enthusiasm for research. Of course, our test of how intelligent artificiality really is should also have something to do with the Zwischengas theme.
That's why we asked them to generate an image in the style of an old factory photo from the sixties. To avoid making it overly complicated, we deliberately kept the requirements simple. We wanted to show a Triumph TR4 with a dark blonde lady at the wheel. We used a photo from the 1962 brochure as a model ( see below). You can see the result above.
While the young woman is still largely recognizable as such, it is more difficult with her vehicle. It takes a lot of imagination to make out a car, let alone a Triumph TR4. In addition, the AI didn't seem to agree on the direction of travel, which is why the white roadster now has three of them at the same time. The individual components such as the windshield or steering wheel are also kept rather abstract.
That's why we're staying true to our line, even if it does mean a lot of brainwork and digging through dusty archives from time to time. Here at zwischengas.com, all content is still created 100 percent by the editor's brain and photographer's eye. That's why the articles may contain the odd typo and the photos are occasionally not taken in the perfect light - but they also contain immeasurably more passion!
