What an overture to a movie. Christopher Lambert sits in a silver Peugeot 205 GTI of the first series and races through Paris, pursued by a Mercedes Benz 500 SEL.
This is how "Subway", a French thriller by director Luc Besson, begins. In addition to Lambert, Isabelle Adjani also plays a leading role as a rich but unconventional (keyword "Iroquois") industrialist's wife.
The appearance of the Peugeot comes to an abrupt end when the then 28-year-old Lambert drives it down the stairs of a metro station and from then on moves mainly in the Parisian underworld. The prelude to an exciting film with surprising twists and turns, which was a great success in France.
