Do you remember the Seat Tango?
Not so long ago, Seat presented the "Tango" sports roadster at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 2001. A crisp, compact sports car with a front-mounted transverse engine on the VW platform of the VW Polo and Skoda Fabia.
The sporty little thing was just 3.68 m long and even series production seemed possible, for around DM 40,000. The one-off was said to have been fully roadworthy and was brimming with great features, from the electrically adjustable pedals (fixed seats) to the beautifully designed instruments.
However, nothing came of the planned series, the Tango remained a one-off, but can now be admired online in our freshly digitized ams issue 18/2001 .
