...and then it got even worse!
The snow did indeed come at Goodwood, and much worse than expected. The conditions deteriorated to such an extent that the Formula 5000 monoposto and the motorcycle squad could not even drive on the track.
It was snowing so heavily that a colleague dryly commented that they could at least take the Christmas pictures for the next few years. Where he's right, he's right.
The snow was the lesser evil, but the cold pushed many things to their limits. The tires didn't get up to temperature at all, the engines coughed even though the radiators were completely taped up and the people themselves had a hard time finding the motivation for their work.
It was an extreme day where everyone was looking forward to the evening early on, but to make matters worse, today, Sunday, is not expected to be much better. Monte Carlo rally weather at the 76th Goodwood Members Meeting 2018 ...
