Vignette collection as a sun visor
07/30/2014
Vignettes have been compulsory in Switzerland since 1985. An annual fee of CHF 40 (originally CHF 30) must be paid for the use of Swiss highways and motorways (first and second class national roads).
The purchased vignette is affixed to the windshield and is valid from December 1 to January 31 according to the year printed on it. "The vignette correctly affixed to the vehicle is valid as proof of payment", according to the federal ordinance. It cannot be assumed that the vehicle pictured correctly fulfills the proof of payment requirement. These 13 vignettes probably already serve as a sun visor and the inspecting law enforcement officer will probably have problems finding the currently valid vignette quickly. Unfortunately, the vignette collection is not quite complete, otherwise the windshield could be the most valuable thing in the whole car.
Only in Germany can all roads still be used free of charge. But this generosity is likely to change soon and, as in Austria or Switzerland, you will have to obtain a driving license.
"Zwischengas" is looking for the windshield that still actively participates in traffic by 2030 and carries all previous vignettes from Switzerland, Austria and Germany. A gift is already waiting!
