Old cars sell new cars

Car manufacturers and dealers like to fall back on their own brand tradition when it comes to selling a new model. This was the case at a major car show in Zurich. An original Beetle from 1951 and Herby, a Beetle from 1963 that caused a sensation in several car films, had to compete to pave the way for their modern successor into the hearts of potential buyers.
But am I wrong, or did the public show more interest and enjoyment in the two classic cars?
Anyone interested in the old ones will certainly enjoy the corresponding Zwischengas report on the VW 1200.
