Diverse sports car program from Fiat in 1967
From today's perspective, the range of sports cars offered by Fiat in 1967 is almost unbelievable.
Seven different models (each with a different shape and hardly a sheet metal part that would have fitted the other model), four different engine families, starting with the 843 cm3 four-cylinder engine in the Fiat 850 Coupé and Spider, through the 1,438 cm3 OHC engine in the Fiat 124 Coupé and Spider, to the six-cylinder engines, once in in-line configuration and with 2,273 cm3 in the Fiat 2300 S Coupé and once in V-configuration and with 1,987 cm3 in the Fiat Dino Coupé and Spider.
The body shapes came from star designers at Pininfarina, Ghia and Bertone, and you could see that: they were all elegant and interesting vehicles in terms of design, both inside and out.
Each of these cars was attractive and desirable, and still is today! I have "experienced" five of the seven sports cars myself in my life and none of them have disappointed me!
