Communication Platform
I just read (yet again) that we humans are communicating less and less with strangers. Do you remember the old days, when you'd call someone on a landline and might exchange a few words with their wife first before you finally got your classic car buddy on the line? That hardly ever happens with cell phones anymore. And on public transportation, everyone is busy with headphones and their phones; conversations only take place on rare occasions.
In contrast, a classic car meet is a real hub for communication! Hardly anyone walks around with headphones there; everyone is open to conversation, happy to answer questions about their car or hear comments on the vehicles on site. You strike up a conversation easily and quickly, and overall, it just puts everyone in a good mood. It's just great!
P.S. A good example of this is the Emil Frey Classic Car Grand Prix in Safenwil, which took place last weekend. Of course, we've already reported on it…
