Sometimes the weather really isn't on the side of classic car events and us reporters. At the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este , for example , it was pouring with rain. Even the sensitive photographic equipment became too much. First one, and then the second camera, stopped working. And there was no real protection from the floods anywhere.
If you take a closer look at the photo, you will recognize the amount of water in the tent roofs. It probably wouldn't have taken much for them to burst, which would have made the journalists and participants seeking shelter underneath even wetter, if that had been possible at all.
To the camera manufacturer's credit, it must be said that the two SLR housings worked perfectly again after drying.
