At the beginning of 1968, an association was founded under the name Valvoline Pacing Team.
The initiators were five active racing drivers and Valvoline Zurich. The team comprised the following active racers at the time, who took part in Swiss and foreign races, from left to right: Jean-Pierre Aeschlimann, Jörg Fankhauser (kneeling), Bruno Gerber, Peter Boner, Peter Mattli, Roland Stierli, Walter Habegger, Siegfried Zwimpfer, Haiispeter Nyffeler, Hans Brändli, Fiorenzo Crenionini, Karl Foitek, Werner Rüfenacht, Claudio Tschander, Robert Blöchlinger and Heinrich Wirth.
