Old cars in the highway restaurant
03/04/2026
If you're on the highway and want to grab a quick bite to eat or do some shopping, you don't necessarily expect to see classic cars for sale at the rest stop. But when I recently stopped in Würenlos (between Zurich and Aarau), a Seat 600 D from 1963 and an Innocenti Mini 850 from 1967 smiled at me.
The two classic cars were probably on display as temporary use of the service area's rented square meters. I was delighted to see two such likeable cars in the middle of winter.
I was particularly taken with the Seat 600 D, offered for a reasonable 12,800 francs. The Spanish version of the Fiat of the same name has a rather exotic status in this country. With 29 hp, it is not a racing car, but a comfortable classic car. And the fact that the car still has veteran status (similar to H registration in Germany) and was fresh from a major service made the small saloon even more desirable.
I don't know whether the two cars, which incidentally were offered by "Neue Centrum Garage AG", can still be admired in the service area today. According to the dealer's website , however, they are still for sale ... so perhaps I should visit again after all?
