Hardly anyone would have imagined in 1946 that 21,529,464 examples of the VW Beetle would be built and that the last one would only leave the assembly line in 2003.
Volkswagen achieved great success with the Beetle, as the picture above (from 1971) clearly shows.
The successor, however, is even more successful, as the 30 millionth Golf was produced a few days ago, as we reported in a detailed article .
