The somewhat different Corvette from Switzerland

For the Geneva Motor Show (and shown in the AR catalog of 1958), the Swiss coachbuilder Ghia-Aigle presented a re-bodied Chevrolet Corvette (from 1954) in 1957.
The similarities to the C1-Corvette were slight. The coupé, which had been designed by Pietro Frua (other sources cite Giovanni Michelotti), looked more like the Ferrari sports cars of the time. Inside, the steering wheel and dashboard, both in wood, were also more reminiscent of Italian than American vehicles, which was further emphasized by the Borrani wheels.
The car had been lost for a long time until it reappeared in Portugal a few years ago with just 3,800 km on the clock and was then restored. The interesting website on remarkable Corvette derivatives shows a current photo of the Ghia Aigle Corvette.
