On May 25 and 26, 2019, the Swiss Classic World classic car fair will take place in Lucerne for the sixth time. And it has a lot to offer.
Anniversaries are celebrated
100 years of Bentley will be celebrated in Lucerne, as will the 100th anniversary of the Swiss Car Body Association, organized by the Swiss Car Register. And other anniversaries will be celebrated on many stands.
Attractive exhibitors
As in previous years, interesting exhibitors await visitors.
Some are in Lucerne for the first time, many are "repeat offenders" such as Lutziger Classic Cars, Frank's Originale, Emil Frey Classic, Niki Hasler, MadMotors or the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen.
Auction on Saturday afternoon
A very special highlight will be the auction of the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen on Saturday afternoon at 16:00. Just over 40 vehicles, from the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint and the Maserati Ghibli to the Volvo P 1800 ES, with a total value of just over CHF 4 million, will go under the hammer and provide a thrilling atmosphere at the show.
The cars will be presented individually, which is a special attraction in itself.
A complete announcement with the available vehicles has of course already been published.
Informative club stands
Clubs will also be making their presence felt again in Lucerne. The club representatives will be able to provide direct information about their services and also about some of the old cars' aches and pains.
A club stand is dedicated exclusively to women and their love of old cars.
The BMW Youngtimer Club shows interesting cars from the recent past. And the FAM (Friends of Old Motorcycles) will even be putting on a real special show with Swiss motorcycles.
Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz will also be represented with club stands.
Motorcycles on the steep face - a unique experience!
Motorcycles from the traditional Indian brand will be in action when the acrobats from motodrom.de perform spectacularly on the world's oldest moving steep face. That is why the brand with the distinctive Indian head is the ideal partner for the performance of the steep face acrobats at the Swiss classic car show. Indian Scouts built between 1928 and 1930 will be on display from May 16 to 19 at the Swiss Museum of Transport before they go on show at Swiss Classic World.
The opportunity to experience such an attraction live has not been available in Switzerland for many years. It's well worth a visit - lasting impressions and goosebumps are guaranteed!
Zwischengas and SwissClassics Revue also on site
The Zwischengas and SwissClassics team will also be present on a stand (204) in Hall 2. A Lorenz & Rankl Silver Falcon, unique in Switzerland, will certainly be unknown to most visitors.
Previous reports from the first five editions of Swiss Classic World in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 are of course also available online.
More information about the 2019 classic car fair can be found on the Swiss Classic World Lucerne website. A complete list of exhibitors is also online.
