The historic Solitudering, the 11.7 km long natural race track in the forest between Stuttgart and Leonberg, which has been preserved almost in its original state, will once again be the focus of classic car racing next year.
The Solitude Revival e.V. will continue its partnership with the city of Leonberg in cooperation with the ADAC Württemberg and start the countdown for Solitude Revival, which is scheduled to take place on July 17-19, 2015.
Classic car racing festival on the Solitude Ring
Based on previous experience, the event will be adapted to the requirements. There will once again be a spacious paddock with exhibition tents, an attractive supporting program, a driver's lounge for the physical well-being and, above all, extensive driving on the unique circuit.
Racing cars built up to 1970 will be used (individual exceptions possible). GT and racing touring cars, Le Mans racing sports cars, pre-war racing and sports cars, formula racing cars, solo racing motorcycles and racing sidecars should be at the start.
Historic vintage road cars will compete in the traditional Corso Classico, and there will also be a Mini Grand Prix for children's racing cars.
A look back to 1935
The motto of the event is "80 years of the Solitude Ring", which commemorates the opening of the circuit, which is almost identical today, at the Solitude Race in 1935.
Of course, many celebrities are also expected to attend and the Solitude Revival 2015 should once again be an unforgettable event.
On Saturday, July 19, 2014, exactly one year before the big event, the countdown will start with a club rally to the Solitude Ring to commemorate the 1964 Solitude Race, which 50 years ago to the day was one of the most impressive motorsport events of all time with six motorcycle world championship races and an international Formula 1 race with the best line-up.
The event website provides regular updates.
