Summary
On December 11, 2021, Bonhams once again invited guests to the Bicester Heritage Center in Oxfordshire to auction 126 vehicles. With almost 60 percent British products, Italian exotics were particularly absent for once. However, the British also did well, with almost four-fifths of the vehicles selling for a total of £2.5 million. The most expensive were a few Aston Martins and a Rolls-Royce, but American and locally produced exotics also managed to impress. This auction article analyzes the results and shows most of the vehicles in pictures.
This article contains the following chapters
- British brands dominate
- Almost four-fifths sold
- Rare Americans with good results

Preview (beginning of the article)
At the end of the year, Bonhams held another MPH auction on 11 December 2021 in Hangar 113 at Bicester Heritage, around 100 kilometers from London. 130 vehicles as well as stationary engines and children's cars were registered. Of the 130 vehicles on offer (including two trailers and two commercial vehicles), around 58 percent were British-made. On average, the lots were 51 years old and valued at £23,717. Although Mercedes-Benz produced 12 vehicles, it was mainly British brands that ranked behind it, including Aston Martin (9 cars), Land Rover (8), Jaguar (7), MG (6) and Rolls-Royce (6), but also manufacturers that have long since ceased production such as Humber, Lagonda, Rover, Daimler, Vanden Plas, Invicta and Lanchester.
