For the second time since 2014 , the classic car scene enjoyed hospitality at the Swiss Classic World in Lucerne. On 30 and 31 May 2015, around 160 exhibitors (around a third more than in 2014) showed around 7100 guests (up 20% on the previous year according to organizer Bernd Link) what they have to offer. And the level of interest was so high that some exhibitors didn't even make it to the well-deserved lunch.

More halls
Two additional halls for American vehicles and parts were added for 2015. The hall with the US vehicles in particular, which benefited from incident daylight and was therefore somewhat brighter than the other halls, must have delighted many a Corvette and Cadillac fan.

And among the gleaming chrome vehicles, there was a sports car that few onlookers could identify straight away. It was a Fiberfab Caribee with a Corvette V8 engine and gullwing doors.

More cars
Of course, more space also meant more vehicles. The Porsche Center Zug, for example, showed a selection of 911 models, but other dealers also exhibited for the first time in Lucerne.

While the range was already quite extensive in 2014, the use of the outdoor area made it possible to create additional space for a vehicle market. Around 60 cars were on offer between the halls and there were some rare specimens to discover here too.
More service providers
There is a constantly growing network of service companies that repair and restore classic cars, organize events or, for example, protect old cars from dying in a fire.

They all presented their range of services and products and the audience thanked them with lively interest.

More parts
Also new at the Lucerne trade fair in 2015 were more exhibition opportunities for parts suppliers, a wish that had been expressed many times following the last event.

The Swiss Classic World cannot yet compare with the other parts markets, but one or two visitors may still have found something they had been looking for for a long time.
Special show of Jo Siffert vehicles
Racing cars were once again the figureheads of Swiss Classic World in 2015. Fans of Jo Siffert were particularly well catered for, as several of the monoposti that Siffert drove during his racing career were on display in a special show.

And lots of plastic
The visitors who came on Saturday were treated to a special sight at the international plastic car meeting " Fantastic Plastic " . Between 12:00 and 14:30, almost 100 vehicles with plastic bodies were lined up in front of the halls of the exhibition grounds and many a viewer could only marvel at the variety of shapes and colors.
Next year again
Bernd Link is very satisfied with his second trade fair. In conversation, he said that there were still things to improve and that he wanted to tackle these for the next event in 2016. However, the large number of registrations already received for next year gives him the courage to continue working and to tackle new things again for 2016.
